This weekend saw the first gig shoot of the year, at Lloyds in Chorlton. The Factory Foundation put on a night of live music to raise funds for Music Therapy charity, Nordoff Robbins, and local community arts space, The Jelly Fish Rooms. Five cracking bands/artists braved the freezing temperatures to make it down for the evening: Bear Around Your Neck, Sam Haine, John Ainsworth, The Black Lights and Walk. It was a great night and all the acts were fantastic – I’d heartily recommend you check them out!

15 Apr 2013Hi Kirsty, Thanks! Glad you like them. This set was mostly taken with our old friend the nifty fifty. I got a 50mm 1.4 to replace my 1.8 earlier this year and it’s a cracker. This was a nice mellow gig in a local bar so it was pretty easy to get quite close to the bands but when I shoot bigger gigs, as most of the shots in my main Music Gallery are, I use a combo of the 50mm, 75-300mm and occasionally the 24-105mm.
