The Blues & Gospel Tram, Chorlton Arts Festival

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the famous Blues & Gospel Train gig at Chorltonville Station in 1964, Chorlton Arts Festival created the Blues & Gospel Tram – a one off event featuring musicians performing on the Chorlton tram and at the Metrolink station, followed by a screening of the original Blues & Gospel Train footage at Dulcimer bar. You can find out more about the history of this event, and see some incredible footage from the original gig  featuring Muddy Waters & Sister Rosetta Tharpe, here.
